Elizabeth Abeyta, daughter of well-known Narcisco Abeyta and sister of Tony Abeyta, was featured in the award-winning book entitled Beyond Tradition, Contemporary Indian Art and Its Evolution. Her work won top awards at the Navajo Craftsman Exhibition at the Museum of Northern Arizona, first-place sculpture awards at the Gallup Inter-tribal Ceremonial, and Santa Fe’s Indian Market.

Her clay sculptures are expressions of her Navajo heritage and feature cultural mythology. Renate’s collection is comprised of the Turquoise Lady and seven smaller clay sculptures featuring deities as well as one ceremonial clay pouch to carry fetishes and whimsical clay snakes. All clay sculptures are in pristine condition. Additionally, Renate has a copy of the Beyond Tradition book with the artist’s signature.
